My August socks are finally done! I lost all motivation for these socks partway through, not to mention that I put them down for a few weeks to knit some computer monsters (which were a big hit). So it is my pleasure to finally show off the socks that took waaaaay too long to knit.
Pattern: Freshet, my own design, this pair named Freshet: El Regreso
Yarn: Fiber Optic Yarns Foot Notes, colorway Sage Batik
Needles: US 1 – (2.25mm)
I’m currently working on another pair of Paraphernalia socks in red for September, and I’m almost done! These socks are fast and fun, I recommend the pattern.
Last night I picked up a project that has been hibernating for a few years. It’s a blanket I designed eons ago called Hanket. The problem with blankets knit from the center out is that when there are 396 stitches on the needles, it takes forever to knit one round. I’m using Cascade Ecowool and the plan is to knit on the blanket until I run out of yarn or stamina, whichever happens first. (My bet is on stamina…)
