I started my February socks (that really should have been January socks). The pattern is Paraphernalia by Taina Anttila. It’s a lovely cabled sock pattern. I’m using madelinetosh “Tosh Sock” in the colorway Fig. The yarn is soft and the color is pretty, though I’m fairly disappointed with this particular skein. It had 3 knots in it and a very poorly constructed splice. Grrrrr… This means more ends to sew in. I’m a bit further along than this photo shows. As you can see, the cable shows up quite nicely in a dark brown. I’m naming this project Lovumba after the song by Daddy Yankee. Why yes, I am classy like that!
I finished my green January socks 11 days early and according to my sock club rules, I’m not allowed to start the next sock installment until that actual month. *pffft* Who made up these silly rules? Oh yeah, I did… Ahem, anyway, I went into sock withdrawal and cast on another pair of River Rapids while waiting for February to arrive. I used some Gypsy Girl Creations yarn that I bought at Stitches Midwest in 2008. Yeah, deep stash dive.
And the name of this project? Energía remix. Because sometimes the remix is better than the original.
