Proof that I have made progress on my Aidez sweater. Not likely I’ll have it finished by MD sheep and wool, but I can certainly try…
You can see I modified the back by omitting the large trellis cable. I knit both front pieces at the same time on one long circular needle so they ended up the same length. I plan to do the same with the sleeves.
And here’s a goofy self-portrait-bathroom-action-shot of me modeling the Mini-Mon shawl to give you an idea of the finished size. Klasse, stimmt?
This weekend we watched Exit through the gift shop which is a film about graffiti/street artists. I was totally enthralled by this film, despite rumors that the documentary was a hoax by Banksy et al. to show what can happen when “street art” becomes
“art sans the street” — commercialized and sold to the highest bidder. Whether documentary or fiction, this film is an entertaining behind-the-scenes look at street art and its creators.
In the mid-90s, I became obsessed with Monsieur A graffiti. I spent many hours each weekend wandering through Paris, camera in hand, taking photos of any Monsieur A graffiti I could find. It became very addictive. You never knew where a smiling stick figure would pop up. Back then I didn’t know this character had a name so I christened him Berk. Seemed fitting to me.
