I do realize I’m a little late jumping on the bandwagon, but I just found the podcast Stash & Burn. How did I not know about this podcast before? What rock have I been hiding under? It’s hosted by 2 knitters named Jenny and Nicole. And they talk yarn. Lots of yarn. They throw around words like Malabrigo, Ravelry, size 9 needles, lace weight, IK, cowls, STITCHES, Ysolda, Norah, and pooling like it’s everyday conversation. If a non-knitter walked past my little knitting room while Stash & Burn was playing (aka, Markus), said person would probably be lost right at the outset. Truly a knitter’s podcast. The hosts have very interesting things to say about their projects and the yarn they used for them, and they both have quite infectious laughs and nice broadcasting voices. Plus they can record a podcast while driving. Hmmm, is that really safe?
Which leads me to this: I am really impressed with the progress I’ve made on my secret knitting project while listening to episodes of Stash & Burn. Perhaps knitting with the TV on in the background is the problem I’ve been having all along. Listening to a podcast really grabs my attention in a different way and I’m not constantly looking away from my knitting. Or putting it down to switch channels or mute the commercials. So my question is, do you listen to any yarn/knit/crochet podcasts? Can you recommend a good one (or two or three)?
