Today I finally got my hair cut short. I Googled “short hair styles” and wouldn’t you know it, Katie Holmes’ picture seemed to pop up over and over. So I ended up with the Katie Holmes (inspired) bob. And it actually turned out pretty darn cute! At least I think so. And the best part… the haircut was FREE because I donated 10 inches of my hair to Locks of Love. FREE I say! Supercuts is the shiznit!
Sorry I have no before pictures to post. Just think of Brooke Shields’ long, beautiful, flowing locks. No, wait, my hair looked nothing like that, even though it was just as long. So forget Brooke Shields. What do you think of the new do?
And now for some exciting knitting news. Last night I came home to a lovely surprise. Outside my door was a giant package from JCA yarns. It contained 17 skeins of random, beautiful, colorful, unsolicited yarn. I was in shock for most of the evening. No one’s ever sent me unsolicited yarn before! Thanks JCA! So now I better get cracking on a swatch to submit for Fall 2009…
I’m almost done with my item to submit to Knitcircus. I had to put it on hold for a few weeks because I was waiting for the knitting needles I ordered to arrive. But I think I can meet the deadline. I’ve got the whole holiday weekend, right? I mean, who wants to shop on black Friday when you can knit? You know I’m right!
