When I was a brand new knitter, the idea of buying knitting needles for each new project was always exciting. More to add to my collection. Now after 5 years and countless projects, I feel like I probably own every needle size ever made. That is, until I start a new project and realize that I don’t have the correct size and/or length needle. This happens every time. How is it possible to own so many knitting needles and never have the correct size?
So my quandary is this. I was thinking about asking my parents to buy me the Options Interchangeable Nickel Plated Circular Knitting Needle Set for Christmas. The downside is that this set doesn’t include US needle sizes 3 and under. Ok, I can deal with that. Then today I noticed that the set also does NOT include 16″ cables. Now that really sucks. I wanted this set to be all inclusive so I never have to buy needles again. As it stands, I’m really not sure if it’s worth owning this set. So my question to everyone is, do you have the Knit Picks interchangeable set and do you find it was a good investment? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
On an unrelated note, after work I decided to walk to Starbucks. Look what they have for sale:
This isn’t the actual mug for sale at Starbucks (I searched online for a picture but only found this one), but it’s really quite similar. And I want it! Look at the cute cables…
