I just love Halloween. It’s always been one of my favorite holidays, not only because of the candy, but my mom actually made my costumes from scratch. None of those plastic costumes from K-Mart. Some of my most memorable costumes were Little Orphan Annie, a bumble bee, the Statue of Liberty, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, a pack of cherry cola Bubblicious gum, Raggedy Ann and Wonder Woman, to name a few. This year I went to Lisa’s house to give out candy dressed as a witch.
My friends dressed as Katie Holmes, a mad scientist and a deranged clown. Katie Holmes, aka Beth, was wearing a pin that said I *heart* Tom Cruise and another about Scientology. Too funny! Minh, the mad scientist, is holding a beaker filled with water and dry ice. The kids loved that. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen a creepier looking clown…
As usual, Lisa’s house had the best Halloween decorations in the entire neighborhood!
Bats flying around in the 2nd floor window and a giant spider spinning her web over the front porch.
The graveyard with skulls popping out of the ground.
And Lisa’s jack-o-lantern she carved at my pumpkin carving party.
We all brought our knitting to Lisa’s house but somehow never got to it.
Tonight is the 3rd annual Yarn Ball hosted by Becky B. I’m going to wear my Sidewinder skirt. Now if I only had a nice sweater and shoes to match it…
