Yippie, the pattern I submitted to Knitcircus was accepted! I don’t know if I’m allowed to say what the pattern is, but if you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you may get an idea. Anyway, Jaala just wrote to say it will be in either the Summer or Fall issue. She hasn’t decided which. But how exciting is this??
By day I work for a very prominent psychology research journal, so I deal with manuscript submissions on a daily basis. When I wrote up this pattern, I think I may have overdone it just a tad… At work I often receive, ummmmm, how shall I put this, interesting submissions with very unorthadox formatting, typos, etc… So I tried my best to be consistent with this pattern, and even include labels for figures. Probably WAY too much detail but I guess my hard work paid off!
So what else is new? Next weekend June 14th is World Wide Knit in Public day. There are 2 events going on in my area. Last year I hosted an event, but since Ravelry was relatively unknown then, there wasn’t as much advertisement, so we had a total of 4 people show up. Not all at the same time either, so it was pretty low key. This year should be a bigger event. I still have the sign I made last year that I can bring along.
Plug for Louet Gem Sport. This stuff is lovely. I highly recommend using it. A little goes a long way.
