Omg I'm so excited right now. I love your men's sweater pattern that appeared on Knitting Daily and high-tailed it down to Knit One to get that yummy alpaca blend. My husband is a great person and he deserves it.

And then, on a day that couldn't get any better, it did! I noticed from the downloaded pattern that you live in Pittsburgh! And then I got on your blog and saw that you were funny and fun. And you have a knitting group in Shadyside!!!!! (I live in Uptown.) at this point, I'm totally verklempt and can only say see you Wednesday.

I haven't tried making a larger size shawl myself but it seems like it would work. You can just cast on more stitches. Someone in Ravelry said she CO 320 sts and it worked fine, others cast on an extra 40 or 50. The CO is the only place you would need to add more stitches since the lace part would automatically have more stitches, too. It's pretty easy to fudge your stitch count, too, if you get off by a stitch. Good luck!

Hi Susan,
Was wondering if the Pinkton shawl pattern could be made larger just by adding stitches to the cast on and the same amount in the breaks of the pattern.
