Another year, another stitch n’ pitch. To say that the weather was hot and muggy would be an understatement. The Bucs won in extra innings but we weren’t there to see it because we left early to get out of the heat.

Ticket prices went up this year from $20 to $24. I was hoping the additional $4 went into the budget for swag.

Although the bag, which is the same bag they gave out last year, is actually quite useful with a zipper, big front pocket and mesh bottle holders on each side. It will have to last me forever since I am not planning to go to another stitch n’ pitch game unless the Pirates play the Chicago Cubs. I think I would rather buy a nice skein of sock yarn with that $24… Mmmm, sock yarn.
I went to SnP at the Clev Indians earlier this year. Fortunately our tickets were $15, but the goodies were not exciting. We got a clear vivyl “pencil case” that had some plastic crochet hooks and a tape measure. Also a 2011-2012 fabric and yarn store guide book. This was essentially what we got last year too. I had a good time watching the game and knitting with my friend.
Sounds like you got much better swag in Cleveland than us! That 2011-2012 fabric and yarn store guide book would be a great reference. Too bad we didn’t get one. I looked up the stitch n’ pitch website to see if they actually have a budget for swag or if it’s all donations (we suspect it’s all donations), but couldn’t find anything.
